Southwest Montana has a rich history: stories that stir visions of the Wild West, Lewis and Clark, Sacajawea, gold miners and the Oregon Trail. Artifacts of this history are on display around the Bozeman area, including the Museum of the Rockies, which is home to one of the largest collections of dinosaurs in the world.

Bozeman Art Museum

BAM is the first and only art museum in Bozeman. Though small (at this time), they offer more than exhibits. They offer classes for kids and adults, workshops, and lectures by well known, professional artists, local and out of state. 
Gallatin History Museum

Since 1982, the Pioneer Museum has offered a variety of changing exhibits portraying earlier days in the Gallatin Valley. The Society sponsors various programs throughout the year, including the annual History Conference.

The Children's Museum of Bozeman features hands-on exhibits and creative programs for kids and families. Kids learn through play in exhibits and open-ended activities featuring physical science, building, dress-up, arts, culture and more. All ages welcome!

Open year round, the Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University houses one of the world’s largest collections of dinosaurs, a planetarium and exhibits on Western history and American Indians. Visit the Museum to learn about startling new discoveries in dinosaur research, experience pioneer life at the Living History Farm, and explore the greater Yellowstone region’s Native American heritage. This museum boasts: the largest T-rex skull in the world, the largest dinosaur skull ever found and some of the world’s rarest dinosaurs.
